About Us
Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management, founded in 2014 by Daniel Wilson, is a sports injury clinic based in Livingston.

We deal with injuries in all of their phases, acute (first 72 hours), sub-acute (3-14 days) and post-acute/chronic (14 days +). In our treatment of injuries, we utilise a variety of techniques during our sports massage and sports therapy sessions as well as techniques taken from physiotherapy, osteopathy, deep tissue massage and swedish massage to name a few. We do this so that we can get you resuming activity as soon as possible and eliminate aches and pains.

About Us

At our clinic, we aim to suit our client's needs, whatever they may be. This is furthered by our long opening hours over a 12.5 hour timeframe and even being open on a Saturday.

Daniel is an honours degree level sport and exercise scientist who graduated from Edinburgh’s Napier University in 2014. Whilst studying, he chose to follow the sports injuries side of the science where he specialised in engineering recovery modalities for sports injuries and fatigue experimenting with various Cryotherapy techniques.

Daniel now how a masters degree in Physiotherapy which he recently obtained in 2025 from Edinburgh's Napier University.

Working with a variety of sports teams across the city, and further afield, we have worked with a myriad of injuries across our years in the industry. We are currently associated with Murrayfield Wanderers FC rugby club, based at Murrayfield Stadium. Daniel Wilson directly supplies medical treatment, advice and rehabilitation to their first team as well as running clinic nights at the stadium during the week.
Last season, Daniel was also working with their ladies team in their doubly triumphant season in which they won both the national league title and Scottish cup. This is Daniel’s fourth year in association with the club.

Rugby is not our only port of call as therapists as we have also worked with active players on the PGA tour, professional Scottish footballers, Edinburgh Capitals ice hockey players, international hockey and badminton players as well as former NFL players.
At Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management, our ethos is to provide our clients the easiest and most swift course back to health. Our aim is to not only get you back to where you were before your injury, but to put you back into a better place where the likelihood of reinjury is minimised.

Working with a wide range of athletes and sporting organisations across the region, we have extensive experience managing both acute and long-term injuries across multiple levels of performance. Our work spans grassroots participation through to semi-professional and elite environments, allowing us to tailor rehabilitation and performance support to the specific demands of each individual and sport.
We are currently affiliated with Livingston RFC, where Daniel Wilson provides pitch-side medical cover, injury assessment, rehabilitation planning and ongoing performance support for players throughout the competitive season. This role involves managing acute injuries, overseeing return-to-play processes and supporting long-term athlete development in a physically demanding, high-contact environment.
Previously, Daniel has worked extensively within rugby union, including time with Murrayfield Wanderers, contributing to successful seasons that saw the women’s team secure both the national league title and Scottish Cup honours. His experience also extends beyond rugby, having worked with professional and semi-professional footballers, ice hockey players, golfers, badminton athletes and former NFL players, as well as supporting athletes competing at national and international level. This breadth of exposure has helped shape a pragmatic, sport-specific approach to rehabilitation that balances performance demands with long-term physical resilience.
At Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management, the core philosophy is simple: provide clear, effective and efficient care that gets people back to doing what they enjoy, safely and confidently. Treatment is never generic. Every assessment and rehabilitation plan is built around the individual, their sport, their goals and the realities of their lifestyle. The focus is not only on resolving the current injury, but also on identifying contributing factors and reducing the likelihood of recurrence through education, movement quality and progressive loading.
Whether you are a competitive athlete, a recreational sportsperson or someone simply looking to move better and live with less pain, the aim is to deliver evidence-based care with a practical, honest approach and no unnecessary treatment or wasted time.
